Atlanta, GA, June 23, 2015 — Acculynk, a leading technology driven payment processor, was awarded a contract with The City of College Park to deliver a multi-channel solution that facilitates the payment of utility bills for the citizens of College Park.
After an extensive evaluation with many other providers in the sector, including the incumbent, College Park selected Acculynk based on its differentiated value proposition and ability to help underbanked and unbanked residents conduct electronic payments. The platform is expected to go live in the next several weeks when College Park will switch from its incumbent provider.
Acculynk will provide its internet PIN debit solution – PaySecure®, as well as credit card, signature debit, PINless debit, government issued debit cards, pre-paid cards, and ACH (e-check). Acculynk’s PaySecure® solution permits PIN enabled debit card users to enter their PIN for e- and m- commerce, ensuring a second layer of authentication and a more secure transaction.
“We look forward to helping the City of College Park increase online adoption of bill payments,” said Michael DiTano, GM of Municipal Solutions at Acculynk. “Acculynk’s unique solution is ideally suited to empower constituents such as the underbanked to engage in online bill payment via Web or mobile. In addition, our comprehensive solution will help ease the administrative burden for College Park employees relative to reporting, treasury management, as well as other administrative tasks. We are proud of this win and look forward to a rapid and successful go-live in the next several weeks.
“Since launching its array of municipal solutions approximately 18 months ago, Acculynk has distanced itself from a series of incumbents which have struggled to adopt the more modern payment types such as Internet Pin Debit.”
