Atlanta, GA, September 12, 2012 — Atlanta-based Acculynk, announced today it has received the 2012 "Where Georgia Leads" Impact Award from the Southeastern Software Association (SSA).
Acculynk, whose PaySecure® online PIN pad enables PIN debit for e-commerce, was honored with this award for bringing their patented Internet PIN authentication technology to emerging e-commerce markets.
In May, India's NPCI (National Payments Corporation of India) announced the selection of Acculynk's PaySecure authentication technology to enable the more than 250 million RuPay PIN-only debit cards. In countries such as India, where two-factor authentication is mandated and where the distribution of PIN debit cards is significantly greater than credit cards, the ability to use PIN debit to transact online in a convenient, secure, and familiar way will have significant economic benefits for consumers and merchants alike. Last year, ATH®, the EFT network in Puerto Rico and the Caribbean, selected PaySecure to enable their 2.5 million debit cardholders to transact online.
"We are passionate about bringing secure internet PIN debit to millions of customers around the world so they can enjoy the benefits of e-commerce while using their PIN-only debit card, "said Ashish Bahl, CEO of Acculynk. "This award is tremendous validation of our efforts and we are grateful to SSA for recognizing the global value of our solution."
