Javelin Strategy & Research Study Finds that PaySecure Could Increase Online Debit Card Transactions and Lead to Additional Internet Purchases

Consumers want greater payment choices for online shopping that are secure and convenient. Merchants want to lower fees and reduce their payment and fraud costs. Issuers are watching their online market share slowly erode, as more merchants offer non-bank card alternatives - and more consumers adopt these payment methods.

PaySecure meets the demands of merchants with a lower-cost, lower-risk payment alternative, while offering issuers a competitive weapon that keeps more business “in the bank" and provides attractive margins, reduced fraud and increased brand awareness.

Now, a recent study conducted by Javelin Strategy & Research, confirms that consumers see PaySecure as an ideal payment method. The study, commissioned by Acculynk and PULSE, found that PaySecure could quickly become a preferred payment method at the online checkout, that it will make consumers feel safer about shopping online, and that it has the potential to increase overall transactions for merchants and banks. Some highlights of the study include:

80% of survey participants would use PaySecure when it is presented by a trusted merchant
65% of survey participants would feel safer buying on the Internet with PaySecure
48% would buy more often on the Internet if they could pay with PaySecure.
